Clubs

Joining a club or group can be a good way to meet new people, make new friends and learn something new. There are lots of different clubs and groups in your area – they all provide lots of different activities.

Some of the groups you might like to try in your area include:

  • a local youth club – look out for groups that may be run at your local school, college or community centre
  • the Guides – being a Guide is all about learning new skills, making your own decisions and having fun
  • the Scouts – as a Scout you can take part in lots of different activities. This could be anything from abseiling to camping, and there are a number of challenge awards and activity badges to earn along the way
  • the Cadets – if you are aged between 13 and 18 there are 3 types of cadet groups that you can join, the Army Cadets, the Air Cadets and the Sea Cadets.
  • St John Ambulance – St John Ambulance will give you the opportunity to train in first aid, learn new skills and make new friends in your local area.
